The ten below are a list of services, not a list of jobs. A rekey on a Guildford rental off 96 Avenue, a rekey on a Walnut Grove townhome and a rekey on a North Delta block off 84th Avenue are three different visits wearing one word, and the difference is usually the building rather than the lock. The list never changes. What the words on it mean at your address comes down to when the building went up and who else holds a key to it.
Surrey shows it on its own street grid first. A real change of keys on a detached Newton street is rarely two cylinders: the front door, the back door, a keyed gate and the garage's own handle come to three to five, and the garage side door is the one nobody thinks to mention on the phone. Along the 96 Avenue corridor at the south edge of Guildford the same heading means something else, because that stretch runs to rental stock and a rekey between tenancies is routine there rather than occasional. Langley makes the divide plainer still, because it is two municipalities sharing one name and they do not behave alike. Langley City is the older half and it turns over: rentals on small lots off 200 Street, apartment blocks standing on 207 Street, older houses standing along Glover Road. The rental complexes off 84th Avenue and the mid-rise stock lining Scott Road keep a steady run of suite rekeys moving, and what sets their timing is a tenancy ending. Walnut Grove is almost entirely strata, a post-1990s build-out framed by 200th Street and 88th Avenue, and its builder-grade hardware is a decade and more into daily use, so the most common booking there is a townhome rekey at a move-in or a move-out, with worn deadbolts and failing keypads behind much of the rest. Where a landlord or a manager has several suites going on one visit, it is priced by volume instead of one call at a time.
One heading on the list is not a door at all.
