Lost your car key in Surrey? We come to you — cut, program, and test a working key or fob on the spot, for most makes and models. No tow truck, no dealer wait, no guessing.
Losing a car key — or watching a key fob stop responding — is one of those situations that grinds your day to a halt. Dealers can make you wait days and charge dealership prices for what is fundamentally a mobile service. We handle car key replacement across Surrey, Guildford, Newton, South Surrey, and White Rock: we drive to your location, cut the key on our mobile bench, and program the transponder chip or fob remote right there. Most jobs take under an hour from your call to a working key in hand.
Every car key job is done mobile — we come to wherever your car is parked.
Prices vary by vehicle make, key type, and whether any working keys remain. These are honest ranges — we quote on the phone before we roll.
| Key type | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Basic metal key (no chip) | $50 – $90 |
| Transponder key (chip only, no remote) | $120 – $200 |
| Remote head key (key + fob combined) | $175 – $280 |
| Smart key / proximity fob | $250 – $450 |
| All-keys-lost programming | $220 – $500+ |
| Key fob re-sync or battery | $30 – $60 |
Luxury, European, and high-security vehicles (BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover) sit at the higher end due to specialist programming hardware and parts cost. We'll confirm the exact range for your year, make, and model before dispatching.
Tell us your vehicle make, model, year, and where it's parked in Surrey. We confirm the key type and quote a range on the spot — no pressure, no obligation.
A licensed technician drives to your location — home, parking lot, King George Blvd, wherever. The mobile van carries key blanks, cutting equipment, and programming hardware for most makes.
We cut the blade, program the transponder or fob, and test the key in the lock and ignition before we leave. Payment on completion — card or e-transfer.
Surrey's geography matters for a mobile service. We run calls across the King George Boulevard and 152nd Street corridors, out to Guildford and Fleetwood in the northeast, down through Newton and into South Surrey near 24th Avenue. If you're stranded in a Willowbrook-area parking lot in Langley or on the Peace Arch border crossing strip in White Rock, we cover that too. We know the parking situations around Surrey Central station, Guildford Town Centre, and the warehouse districts near 88th Avenue — expect a realistic 22-minute average across the region, though it varies by time of day and location.
Post-2010 vehicles almost universally require a programmed transponder chip — the car's immobilizer will prevent starting with a cut-only key that hasn't been paired to the ECU. We carry the OBD-II interface hardware and key-programming software for most Japanese, Korean, North American, and European makes. All-keys-lost situations — where there are zero working keys remaining — require an additional programming step that takes more time and costs more, but it's still typically faster and more affordable than a dealer service appointment, which may require the vehicle to be towed in first. If you're uncertain what type of key your vehicle uses, just read us the VIN from your registration and we'll confirm before dispatching.
Yes. All-keys-lost programming is more involved — it requires connecting directly to the vehicle's OBD port and running a complete key-learn cycle — but we handle it on-site for most makes. It does cost more and take longer than cutting a spare when you still have one working key, so if you lose a key and still have a spare, getting a duplicate immediately is good insurance.
Give us the year, make, and model (or read us the VIN from your registration). We can confirm the key type and give you a price range before we dispatch. Roughly speaking: vehicles from the mid-1990s onward usually have a transponder chip; vehicles from around 2010 onward often use a remote head key or smart key. Luxury and some mainstream brands switched earlier.
Yes. We use OEM-spec key blanks and the same programming protocols as the vehicle manufacturer. The transponder chip is paired to your specific car's immobilizer, so the key starts the engine, and the remote functions (lock/unlock, trunk) work like any factory key. We test both before leaving.
In most cases, yes — and it's faster. Dealers often require you to tow the vehicle in, book an appointment, and wait days. We come to your car, usually within 22 minutes, and complete the job on-site. Pricing is generally lower for common makes; the gap narrows on high-end European vehicles where the parts cost is similar regardless of who does the programming.
We cover all of Surrey — City Centre, Newton, Guildford, Fleetwood, South Surrey, Cloverdale, Panorama Ridge, Sullivan, Port Kells, and Clayton Heights — plus the surrounding territory: White Rock, Langley, Delta, Ladner, Tsawwassen, Aldergrove, and Walnut Grove. If you're unsure whether we reach you, just call and we'll confirm.
We accept major credit and debit cards, and Interac e-transfer. Payment is taken on completion of the job. We don't charge a call-out fee for confirmed bookings — the price we quote is the price you pay if everything matches what you described on the phone.
