Crescent Beach. There is one way onto the peninsula, down Crescent Road to McBride Avenue, so on a busy summer afternoon tell us roughly where you are and we will give you an honest arrival window. A lot of the original beach cottages still have old mortise lock bodies in wooden frames, rim locks on sheds and side doors, and some front doors with a knob lock and no deadbolt at all. Salt air and winter rain also leave cottage doors swollen and latches out of line, which we fix on the same visit as the lock work.
Ocean Park. The streets around the 1001 Steps wind along the top of the bluff and can be tricky to find, so a nearby cross street helps us get to you directly. Older cottages here often carry vintage mortise and rim hardware, and if you can describe the lock on the phone we can bring a matching cylinder. The larger homes on the wider lots are usually Schlage or Weiser, and a full rekey runs to four to six cylinders cut on the spot. We also rekey the small shops and offices in the village at 128th Street and 24th Avenue when a new tenant takes over.
Sunnyside. Sunnyside Acres and Sunnyside Heights wrap around the Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest, south of 24th Avenue. On the wooded lots along 144th and 146th Street the deadbolts are often original Kwikset or Weiser that rekey fine but sometimes need replacing, while the newer blocks toward 152nd Street lean to Schlage B-series and Weiser SmartKey. Plenty of trail runners and cyclists here ask us to swap a keyed deadbolt for a keypad, and homes backing onto the forest can have long driveways, so mention it when you call.
Elgin-Chantrell. These are the big wooded lots and acreages along Crescent Road and the Nicomekl River, where houses sit well back from the street behind gates or long drives. Expect high-security cylinders on the main entry and a garage, guest cottage or workshop alongside, and we rekey every structure in a single trip rather than one call per door. When a home sells we are often asked to open a floor or wall safe the previous owner never handed over the combination for. Give us your gate code and a landmark, since map pins can land in the wrong spot on the older estate lanes.
Grandview Heights. The newest part of South Surrey is mostly strata townhomes and condos around 24th Avenue and 160th Street, with more going up on the remaining parcels. Units here generally shipped with Schlage B-series or Weiser SmartKey deadbolts, and a SmartKey that has been rekeyed at home too many times can jam solid, which we pull and replace. Condo buildings pair a fob lobby with your own suite deadbolt, and the stratas off 165th Street and 26th Avenue have visitor parking near the gate, so the unit number is all we need.
Hazelmere. The rural southeast corner around 184th Street and 8th Avenue is acreages, hobby farms and horse properties, with a farmhouse lock, a renovation-era deadbolt and a row of padlocked sheds often on one property. We can design a master key so the owner carries one key and a caretaker only opens what they need. Next door, the Campbell Heights business park calls us for warehouse and unit rekeys after staff leave. Rural addresses do not always map cleanly, so a farm name or cross street saves time.
Morgan Creek. The golf community off 152nd Street is mostly custom and semi-custom detached homes with solid-core entry doors and multi-point locks on French and patio doors. A full rekey here usually means more cylinders than a typical house, covering the front, side, garage, coach house and suite doors that buyers tend to forget, and we do them all in one visit. This family neighbourhood off 36th Avenue and 148th Street was largely built out in one wave, so many of its townhome stratas still run the Weiser and Kwikset deadbolts they were built with. The single-family crescents have more Schlage and SmartKey hardware, owners often ask for every door keyed alike, and the shops at the neighbourhood centre book early-morning rekeys before they open.
